Our Story
Play Haven has been a dream of mine for a long time. Having been a pre-school teacher for 12 years, and a mother of two in San Francisco, I've always understood the value of open-ended play and social interaction in children’s everyday lives. So I wanted to provide a space where children’s play is valued.
Children learn in so many different ways, and their interests are ever changing. In my own children, I see an artist one day, a doctor the next, and a pirate the day after. I want to encourage all of these in them, but home isn't always best equipped to do so (cleanup can be a little unmotivating as well). And fitting scheduled classes around nap times, doctor’s appointments, and just busy family life can be a challenge.
So after a long period of imagining and planning, Play Haven was finally born. We are an indoor play space you can visit any time of the day to let your child explore their imagination. Here they can follow their interests and play at their own pace, while you spend quality time together and with other families.

Location & Parking
Play Haven is centrally located in the heart of San Francisco, easily accessible from most SF neighborhoods, and steps away from the Forest Hill Muni station.

Parking
There are two options for parking at Play Haven:
- The Forest Hill Christian Church parking lot on the north side of Play Haven (except on Sundays from 1pm to 4pm). Please do not park in the spots designated for the Forest Hill preschool.
- The residential neighborhood off Plaza Drive around the southeast corner from Play Haven has 2 hour limit parking.
Weekend parking: On weekends you may park in the designated spots within Play Haven's front courtyard.
15-minute spots: There are three parking spots designated for 15 minute loading and unloading within Play Haven's front courtyard. Please be courteous when using these loading spots.
